Laser Check
What is a laser check and how do they work? Well, it depends...are you talking about pre-printed laser checks or blank check paper stock that you print on your printer? If pre-printed checks, then you use a software program (such as Quickbooks) designed to print the necessary text in the correct locations on the check stock. If blank check paper stock, then you need a printer that is compatible with MICR toner and you must install a MICR toner cartridge. MICR toner is a special toner with specific magnetic properties that allow automated check reader/processing equipment to read the necessary information (routing & account numbers) off of the check. We would also recommend getting some software (such as VersaCheck) to help versus trying to do with Microsoft Word or notepad. We can help you with either.
