The Story of Kokopelli

If you've traveled through America's Southwestern states, you've no doubt seen the image of the humpbacked flute-playing Kokopelli on everything from jewelry to t-shirts.

But did you know...this Native American deity is probably one the most famous Casanovas of all time!

One of the many legends surrounding Kokopelli tells of how he would show up in villages playing his flute. All the people would come out to sing, dance and celebrate! But the next morning, Kokopelli could not be found, and all the women of the village were now expecting babies!

Kokopelli is just one of four recognizable Southwestern symbols featured on these personal checks from CheckAdvantage. You'll also find the gecko, the bear and a howling coyote. Celebrate the many stories and rich history of the region with these unique checks.
