The Saga of Einstein's Brain

Did you know that the pathologist who conducted Albert Einstein's autopsy in 1955 removed his brain without the family's permission and took it home in a jar?

It's true. The doctor's name was Thomas Stoltz Harvey and he was later fired from his job at Princeton for refusing to relinquish the pickled organ!

Even weirder, in the early 1990s, Harvey, along with freelance writer Michael Paterniti, took Einstein's brain on a cross-country journey to "meet" Einstein's granddaughter. Einstein's gray matter made the trip in the trunk of a Buick Skylark. Paterniti later wrote a book about the long strange road trip it'd been. His book is titled, Driving Mr. Albert: A Trip Across America with Einstein's Brain.

Now that you know more about Einstein's brain in death than in life, celebrate the oddball scientist with a set of Albert Einstein Side Tear Checks from CheckAdvantage!
