The Society for Creative Anachronism

The Society for Creative Anachronism is an historical reenactment group whose activities include, among other things, dressing in the clothing of Medieval Europe, brewing and consuming large quantities of mead, and jousting -- just for fun!

The SCA was founded in 1966, when the graduation party for a UC Berkeley medieval studies student named Diana Paxson featured a "Grand Tournament" in which participants whacked each other with makeshift weaponry resembling that used during the Middle Ages!

It was so much fun they reserved a city park for another such tournament; needing an official name for their permit, science fiction author Marion Zimmer coined the group, "The Society for Creative Anachronism."

Fortunately, you don't have to be a dues-paying member of the SCA to give your checkbook a regal look. Just choose Medieval Side Tear Checks from CheckAdvantage. Make them yours today!
