In 1973, tennis pro Bobby Riggs came out of retirement to take on the best female players. He said no woman could beat him. The legendary Billy Jean king first denied his request, and Riggs instead defeated top women's player Margaret Court.

After some intense taunting, Billy Jean King finally accepted a challenge from Bobby Riggs and shocked the sports world by beating the shorts off him!

Some claimed Riggs bet against himself and threw the match. But as the story goes - he even took a lie detector test to prove the competition was 100% legit!
