Be a True Original

The process of tie dying clothing became popular because of the flower children and hippies of the 1960s.

Classic rockers like Janis Joplin and The Grateful Dead turned tie dye into a fashion craze. By 1970, t-shirt stands in Hollywood were having a hard time keeping up with the demand.

One of the most famous tie dye artists was a woman named Ann Thomas - better known as Tie-Dye Annie. She lived in a commune nestled up in the Hollywood hills, but Annie refused to sellout to the commercialism all around her.

Instead of distributing her work to all the boutiques in Los Angeles, Tie-Dye Annie limited her sales to friends. Those friends included high class clientele like the Rolling Stones. But she always charged a flat rate of $7.50.

One of the coolest things about tie dye is that every handmade piece is a complete original. The personal checks you'll find here at CheckAdvantage are originals too. No stock photography. No clip art. Just pure inspiration.

Put a little inspiration and a lot of color in your purse or pocketbook when you choose these checks!
