They say April showers bring May flowers, but all I was getting from that Wednesday rainstorm was wet.

They say when it rains it pours. I felt like I was getting crushed by a tidal wave.

Then the constant pounding of raindrops on my head suddenly stopped. A curly-haired girl with a twinkle in her eye had made room for me under her umbrella.

"You might catch a cold if you don't stay dry," she said with a wink.

"That'd be just my luck," I smirked. What I didn't know was that my luck was about to change.

They say into each life some rain must fall. I guess that's okay with me.
